Krakow method

Our mission is to support the full development of children, which includes developing reading skills. To this end, we use the Krakow method, which is an effective and child-friendly approach to learning to read.

The Krakow method is unique because it assumes that children are ready to learn to read from an early age, and this process should be natural and pleasant. We approach reading as a game, allowing children to discover the joy of reading.

A characteristic feature of the Krakow method is the learning of global reading, where at the beginning children learn whole words, and only then individual letters. The words are chosen to be meaningful and understandable for the child, which facilitates memorization and increases the motivation to learn.

The benefits of the Krakow method are numerous. Firstly, global reading learning is adapted to the natural developmental process of children, who initially perceive the whole, and only later the details. Children learn to read faster and easier, because learning is adapted to their way of perceiving the world.

Secondly, the Krakow method promotes a positive attitude towards reading. Reading is not seen as a duty, but as a pleasure. Children who learn to read with this method often show greater interest in books and reading at a later stage of education.

Thirdly, the Krakow method supports the development of children’s language competences. By learning whole words, children understand meaning and context faster, which translates into a better understanding of the text and the development of language skills.

At Sunny Buddies, we are proud to be able to offer our children the Krakow method of learning to read. We believe that it is an investment that will bring benefits for life, affecting not only reading skills but also general language development, critical thinking, and creativity.

We invite you to discover the joy of learning to read with the Krakow method at Sunny Buddies Preschools!
